SIG Combibloc took on the challenge to expand in an up-and-coming market when it entered the Russian market.

 

Now, after more than 15 years, the company provides carton packaging to all leading Russian companies in NCSD (Non-Carbonated Soft Drinks) and LD (Liquid Dairy) segments.

1997: SIG Combibloc representative office established in Russia

1998: Service centre and spare parts warehouse established in Moscow

1999: Launch of the first combiblocMaxi 2,000 ml aseptic carton packs for NIDAN

2000: SIG Combibloc exclusively equipped the largest juice plant in Siberia for NIDAN

2001/2002: 2,000 ml packaging is a great hit for family consumption. SIG Combibloc supplies extra fillers to Lebedjansky"

2003: SIG Combibloc exclusively equipped the largest juice plant in Moscow for NIDAN as a "Green Field project"

2003: Launch of combiblocSmall 200 and 250 ml with straw

2004: Launch of combifitPremium 1,000 ml with combiTwist screw cap

2005: Launch of combiblocCompact 500 ml with straw

2006: Innovative screw cap combiSwift introduced in Russia by NIDAN for its brand Moya Semia in combiblocSlimline 1,000 ml

2007: SIG Combibloc reached almost a quarter of Russian aseptic carton market; about 28 per cent of all juices, nectars and juice-based drinks are filled in SIG Combibloc aseptic carton packs

2008: SIG Combibloc became an exclusive supplier of aseptic equipment at Petmol", new modern dairy products plant of UNIMILK in St. Petersburg

2009: Premium cream series "Petmol" in combifitSmall 200 ml with combiSmart and combiblocSlimline 500 and 1,000 ml with combiSwift for HoReCa were lanched

2010: New combiSmart with wings is introduced globally

2010: New product concept of drinks with real fruit pieces - drinksplus is presented worldwide

2010: 1st SIG Combibloc filler is installed at Progress, Baby Food market leader in Russia

2011: Progress opts for the 2nd SIG Combibloc filling line due to successful product launch and increasing consumers' demand
