Unique variety There are countless examples from all over the globe of SIG Combibloc’s successful long-term partnerships with distinguished providers in the food industry. To manufacture their products, these providers count on SIG’s unique, flexible combibloc filling technology, which enables them to fill liquid and chunky foods. Many of SIG Combibloc’s food industry customers operate globally, so in a lot of cases, their partnership with SIG Combibloc is also international. Campbell’s Soup Company, for example, the world’s largest soup manufacturer produces for, among others, the French, Canadian, Belgian and Australian markets, using the combiblocSmall and combiblocStandard formats. It was also Campbell’s Soup Company that launched the first aseptic combibloc carton pack in food sector on the French market in 1985. Targeting at Chinese market, Campbell’s Soup especially launched two soup products at the end of 2007: clear chicken broth and class super broth. Unique variety and aseptic technology provided by SIG Combibloc produced the 500ml and 1000ml packs to meet various consumers’ demands. Nestlé, for example, uses carton packaging in a number of countries for its ready-to-serve meal classics and modern sauces such as Sauce Béarnaise, Sauce Hollandaise and Sauce Béchamel, and for products with chunky particulates such as sauces made from champignons and mushrooms. The baby food industry, where especial care and safety are an absolute must during packaging, demands the highest standards and premium quality. International companies including Nestlé and Danone count on the carton packaging and the aseptic expertise of SIG Combibloc to meet these standards – and these companies can look back on many years of enormous global success. Under the brand name Knorr, Unilever , one of the world’s biggest providers of branded goods, fills a range of soups in various pack sizes, plus a wide array of cooking sauces and pasta sauces, in carton packs from SIG Combibloc – ready-to-serve convenience products for consumers who value top quality, long life and easy-to-use packaging. Desserts and custards, such as milk-based dessert sauces from British food producer Leckpatrick Foods, are also offered in carton packs from SIG Combibloc. Many of the company’s Golden Vale products are sold in carton packs fitted with the combiTop closure, which means sauces can be poured smoothly and easily portioned out. Another example of the flexibility of SIG Combibloc’s filling technology is the company’s partnership with Boschi. In Italy, the company, a co-packing specialist operating Europe-wide, offers its products in carton packs from SIG Combibloc. These products include tomato chunks – typically for the Italian market, these have a very high particulate proportion, and thanks to the unique flexibility of SIG Combibloc’s filling machines and the 2-phase filling technology, they can be filled without difficulty. |
