Hello, I’m Robert Buchner. After completing my apprenticeship as a mechanical engineer with an SME and some years of practical experience, I joined the technical customer support department of SIG in 1987. Soon afterwards I was already heading up a five-man service team. At that time we were covering the area of Austria and Hungary. Since then, the territory in which I operate has grown considerably. Nowadays, as Service Cluster Head, I am responsible for the Cluster Central & East, i.e. Switzerland, Israel, Austria, the entire Adriatic area, Russia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Ukraine, Turkey, Hungary and Greece. I really appreciate this widespread customer base and the international nature of my job. Right from the beginning I was fascinated by the unique filling technology of SIG. I enjoy refining service strategies together with my 90-man team. The accumulated know-how of our service engineers is very important to me and I consider it vital that their expertise is regularly updated through dedicated training modules. |
