My name is Kevin Lee and I am the Assistant Quality Manager of the Suzhou plant in China. I started my career with SIG Combibloc as an Operations Management Trainee in 2005. As a fresh graduate from university I appreciated the diverse development opportunities at SIG Combibloc and the possibility to work with some of the industry’s best engineers. My rotational trainee job provided me with vast opportunities in being exposed to multiple areas of operations and gave me a deep insight into the different departments. After the rotation I was able to choose one function that attracted me most to work in the future. As the Assistant Quality Manager, my major task is working together with colleagues of the production to provide high quality products to the very fast growing market. Besides, another important task is working closely with the Key Account Management Team to continuously improve customer satisfaction. One of the most rewarding and exciting experiences during my career was joining the project of launching a new coating line in the Suzhou plant. I provided trainings to all quality related personnel and established new work instructions and procedures concerning the new production process. In the beginning of the project, I was sent to SIG Combibloc’s headquarter in Germany for a three-month training and working program. |
