Long-standing expertise Our system of aseptic product protection begins with the construction of the machines, includes the manufacture of the packaging, and ends at the filling factory. With more than 30 years’ experience in the aseptic filling of long-life food products, we offer our customers the utmost assurance of quality and safety. To generate long shelf-life in packaged food products, bacteria in the products must first be destroyed. The same has to be done for SIG Combibloc carton packs. In our aseptic procedure, we use a process that is highly advanced and extremely gentle. The products are heated for a very short time to temperatures of up 140° C, which renders them sterile. Long-life quality Parallel to this, the filling machine shapes the carton, seals its base and sterilises the carton pack interior. Then the heated fill product is filled into the carton pack in an aseptic chamber within the filling machine – the aseptic zone. The carton is then ultrasonically sealed. In this way, vitamins, flavours and natural colourants are safeguarded effectively. Products retain their quality for a prolonged period without refrigeration or preservatives. |
