Responsibly sourced raw materials

All three key raw materials come from certified responsible sources via mass-balance systems. The paperboard is from FSC™-certified forests and other controlled sources (FSC™ trademark licence code: FSC™ C020428); the polymers are linked to ISCC PLUS certified forest-based renewable materials, and the ultra-thin layer of aluminum is covered by Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) certification.

ISCC PLUS certified forest-based polymers

SIG Terra Forest-based polymers packaging material uses tall oil as a feedstock. Tall oil is a by-product of the paper industry, rather than a crop grown on agricultural land that could otherwise be used for food. The polymers used for the closure and the lamination of the paperboard are independently certified by ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification).
