We at SIG meet Silvia Reyes

As part of our "We at SIG" series, we’re highlighting colleagues across different departments to showcase their unique perspectives, experiences, and contributions.

In this edition, we meet Silvia Reyes, Spare Parts Coordinator for spouted pouch machines at SIG to hear about her journey, what motivates her, and the values she brings to her team and our customers.

Please introduce yourself

I joined SIG in 2000 and I have always worked within the spare parts area. Over the years, my journey has taken me through several tasks in the department, and today I am proud to serve as Coordinator.

Professionally, I have grown a lot during these years at SIG, gaining valuable experience and learning continuously about the spare parts market. My current responsibilities focus on managing retrofits, spare parts, and improving internal procedures within the department.

What motivates you in your role in Spare Parts?

My main motivation is continuous learning. It’s very exciting to see the new portfolio of equipment being designed and launched into markets across different countries.

How does your work help customers or colleagues succeed?

I believe my strongest contribution is the long experience I can share. Our department represents the company’s image in front of customers, so I place great importance on building a sense of teamwork within my department. When we work together comfortably and effectively, we deliver a much better service to our customers.

What’s one tip you’d share with someone new to the department?

For anyone joining the department, my advice is simple: remember we are a team. We depend on each other, so it’s essential to support and share knowledge with colleagues. Their success is our success.
