We at SIG: Meet Adolfo Perez Del Moral

Our We are SIG series takes you inside the world of spouted pouch at SIG — meeting the colleagues who bring innovation, precision, and creativity to life every day. Through their stories, you’ll discover the challenges they tackle, the passion they bring, and the surprising details that make our operations so unique.

In this edition, we sit down with Adolfo Perez Del Moral, Supply Chain and Operations Manager for the spouted pouch business in Barcelona, who has been part of SIG for more than two decades. He shares what inspires him in production, how his team finds solutions under pressure, and a challenge that taught them the power of teamwork.

Adolfo, could you introduce yourself?

I’ve been working at SIG since 2000. I’m responsible for the company’s operations, particularly in supply chain and production for the spouted pouch business. I also oversee the plant’s physical security, gardening, and facility maintenance.

What do you enjoy most about working in Production at SP?

For me, it’s about being creative and motivating the team to face challenges with confidence. Seeing ideas transform into real results alongside the team is incredibly rewarding.

Can you share a challenge you’ve overcome in the workshop?

One challenge that stands out was increasing the speed of a machine by simplifying its mechanisms. It took careful analysis, teamwork, and lots of testing — but we managed to significantly improve efficiency.

What’s one thing about your job that might surprise people?

Sometimes the Purchasing Department asks for things that seem nearly impossible — often with record turnaround times. And yet, we often manage to deliver in less than 24 hours. The way the team coordinates and reacts under pressure is impressive, even to us.
