SIG Terra Circular polymers
Meet the world’s first and only aseptic carton packaging material linked to post-consumer recycled plastics by applying the ISCC mass balance approach. This innovative solution contributes to the circular economy and helps protect natural resources by replacing virgin with post-consumer recycled plastics. SIG Terra Circular polymers is a solution for all types of liquid food and beverage.

Responsibly sourced raw materials
All three key raw materials come from certified responsible sources via mass-balance systems. The paperboard is from FSC™-certified forests and other controlled sources (trademark licence code: FSC™ C020428), the polymers are linked to ISCC PLUS certified recycled materials, and the ultra-thin layer of aluminum is covered by Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) certification.
ISCC PLUS certified recycled polymers
The polymers used for the closure and the lamination of the paperboard are linked to post-consumer recycled materials through a mass-balance system, independently certified by ISCC PLUS (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification). Mixed household waste is transformed into recycled polymers that offer the same high quality and have the same properties as polymers made entirely from virgin raw materials, making them safe for food packaging.
Choose better
with SIG Terra, our portfolio of packaging innovations with improved environmental performance1 and/or improved circularity. Leveraging our R&D expertise and unique filling technology, we achieved a track record of industry-firsts in simplifying structures and reducing the weight of packaging, with milestones including the world's first aluminum-layer-free aseptic carton in 2010 and the world's first designed-for-recycling bag-in-box for water in 2021.
