Smart Earth, a company committed to providing high-quality nutrition for pets, has just launched its first retail product for end consumers in the Chilean market: Camelina Oil in SIG CloverCap pouches. The product, designed as a natural omega-3 supplement for dogs, comes in a convenient 90-gram size and marks a milestone as the first pet food product packaged in a SIG CloverCap pouch in South America.

This year, SIG celebrates the 70th anniversary of the invention of bag-in-box, a groundbreaking innovation that has become a core part of the company's packaging portfolio. Originally developed in 1955 by American chemist, William R. Scholle, as a safer, less expensive, and more convenient solution for transporting and storing industrial liquids, bag-in-box quickly gained traction across multiple industries, particularly food and beverage. Following the acquisition of Scholle IPN in 2022, bag-in-box has evolved into a fully integrated packaging system offering for SIG.

Ampol Food, a leading innovator in the food and beverage manufacturing industry, has opted for SIG’s on-the-go carton bottle, SIG DomeMini, for the launch of its V-FIT premium rice-based nutritional drink range. This launch marks SIG DomeMini’s market entry in Thailand – combining on‑the‑go convenience of a plastic bottle with the sustainability benefits of a carton pack.

Libyan United Beverage Bottling Company (LUBBC), a leading force in the Libyan beverage market, is expanding the strategic partnership with SIG. The collaboration is set to boost LUBBC's production capabilities, increase local market volumes, and enhance export opportunities, while also consolidating SIG's position in the region.

SIG has partnered with Plastic Bank, Carta Misr, and TileGreen to establish Egypt’s first end-to-end recycling system for used aseptic beverage cartons. This initiative will help to restructure the Egyptian recycling landscape and turn waste into valuable resources.
