SIG and WWF mark second-year progress of forest conservation partnership in Thailand
SIG, a leading packaging system solutions provider, and WWF marked the second-year progress of their Forests Forward partnership in Thailand, which supports conservation and improved forest management across 60,000 hectares of strategic forest landscapes spanning across three of Thailand's most critical forest landscapes: the Mae Ping–Kaeng Krung forest corridor, the Lower Songkhram River Basin wetlands, and the Dong Phayayen–Thap Lan forest complex.

Actron expands its services into co-packing in the Philippines with SIG’s flexible aseptic carton filling technology
In response to rising demand for ready-to-drink beverages and dairy products in the Philippines, Actron Industries, Inc., a leading Philippine food solutions company, is expanding its packaging portfolio with advanced aseptic carton filling technology from SIG. Actron will install a state-of-the-art SIG Midi 12 Aseptic filling line at its plant in Calamba, Laguna. Commercial production is scheduled to begin at the end of the second quarter of 2026.

Supported by the SIG Foundation, the initiative is designed to drive behavioral changes, encourage the public to collect recyclable waste, to strengthen local recycling systems, and to contribute to a circular economy.

SIG Drinksplus products like juice drinks with fruit or vegetable bits can also be processed and filled in aseptic carton packs on standard filling machines from SIG for liquid dairy products and non-carbonated soft drinks (NCSD). The bits can be up to six millimetres in length and width.

In SIG filling machines, each carton pack is individually shaped and sealed at the bottom. The packs – still open at the top – are then guided to the aseptic zone of the filling machine via a mandrel wheel.

Once a carton pack has been filled with the product in SIG’s filling machines, the carton top is ultrasonically sealed above the fill level – still within the SIG filling machine. The carton packs are then fed fully automatically into the downstream process.
