La Fondation SIG soutient des projets innovants qui protègent l’environnement et ont un impact positif sur la société. L’un des objectifs communs à toutes ces initiatives est de lutter contre le gaspillage. Cet objectif est également au cœur du programme de recyclage « Recycle for Good », qui a pour ambition de réintroduire les matériaux recyclables dans le circuit de production.
Recycler pour l’environnement
La pollution des eaux et des sols par les déchets représente l’un des plus grands problèmes environnementaux de notre époque. Dans le cadre de son engagement Ressource+, SIG s’investit notamment dans le programme Recycle for Good. D’ici à 2025, SIG entend réduire de moitié son impact environnemental et doubler les effets bénéfiques de ses actions pour la société. L’initiative Recycle for Good encourage les consommateurs à apporter leurs emballages usagés et autres matériaux recyclables tels que le PET, l’huile de friture, le carton, l’aluminium ou le verre à un point de collecte en vue de leur recyclage. En mars 2023, le premier point de collecte Recycle for Good a ouvert ses portes à Jakarta, en Indonésie.
Circular economy to protect the environment
SIG's commitment goes beyond immediate measures. The globally active company is working with industry colleagues and associations to improve the recycling of beverage cartons.
The SIG Foundation supports this vision through Recycle for Good, an initiative designed to boost recycling rates and promote mindful use of natural resources.
Le modèle brésilien
Depuis 2018, SIG apporte son soutien à la start-up brésilienne SO+MA pour encourager la communauté à recycler et à adopter un comportement plus respectueux de l’environnement. Grâce à cette expérience et au soutien de SO+MA, la fondation a développé le programme mondial Recycle for Good, qui a été lancé en Indonésie et sera bientôt déployé dans d’autres pays. L’Indonésie qui compte une population importante peut avoir un impact écologique considérable, à condition que les habitants commencent progressivement à adopter un mode de vie plus respectueux de l’environnement.
Collecting is the way to go
Recycle for Good promotes recycling of used packaging, including beverage cartons, glass, plastic, and more. Since launching the first collection booth in Jakarta in March 2023, the initiative has expanded to numerous collection points citywide, along with household collection services.

Recycle for Good est une initiative conçue pour répondre aux besoins des populations urbaines qui cherchent à adopter un mode de vie plus respectueux de l’environnement. Les habitants sont informés de l’emplacement des points de collecte via les réseaux sociaux et directement dans le centre commercial de Cibubur Junction à Jakarta Est. Les employés du partenaire local de recyclage Armadakemasan acceptent les articles recyclables dans le conteneur de dépôt, et sensibilisent les consommateurs à l’importance du recyclage et à l’impact positif de l’économie circulaire sur l’environnement.
Le recyclage est récompensé
Recycle for Good a pour objectif de sensibiliser les individus et les communautés à la valeur du recyclage, afin de changer les mentalités.
Ce modèle novateur de promotion du recyclage offre des avantages socio-économiques et environnementaux, et permet aux habitants des zones à faibles revenus d’améliorer leur qualité de vie. Ils peuvent économiser de l’argent sur des produits de première nécessité grâce aux bons d’achat ou acquérir de nouvelles compétences qui leur ouvrent la voie à de nouvelles opportunités d’emploi.

Polluted paradise
With more than 274 million inhabitants, Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world. Its 17,000 islands form the most extensive island state in the world and the heart of the Malay Archipelago, which combines almost all tropical and subtropical landscape types on earth in a contrasting diversity.
Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest rates of marine pollution. The island nation has been drowning in plastic waste for years. One of the main reasons is that many small islands have no waste collection and no municipal disposal system for household and other waste. Due to a lack of knowledge about the dangers involved, people dump their waste in landfills, burn it or dispose of it in the sea.
An initiative in Egypt
An initiative along the lines of Recycle for Good has also been launched in Egypt. Using a mobile app, consumers can have their used beverage cartons collected from their homes or workplaces and receive a reward for doing so. SIG is working with Tagaddod on this project, the first company in Egypt to enable the direct collection of waste from households and the food industry through technology-based solutions. The project is an example of how innovative partnerships can be used to increase recycling and circularity of used beverage cartons and other valuable materials.
Depending on the value and weight of the materials dropped off, reward points are credited on the Recycle for Good app. These points can be exchanged for food vouchers or other essentials.
1. Anyone can register and participate in the program for free via the Recycle for Good app.
2. Recyclable materials are accepted and weighed free of charge at the Recycle for Good collection point.
3. Reward points are credited on the Recycle for Good app for the materials deposited according to a value scale.
4. The reward points can be exchanged for goods vouchers or services from Recycle for Good partners.
5. The deposited materials are collected and processed by a designated recycling partner.
Effective sustainability strategy
Recycle for Good is an example of how SIG implements its sustainability strategy to ultimately give back more to society and the environment than it takes out. Working with rewards and recycling partners to support the collection and recycling of beverage cartons and other recyclable materials is part of this commitment.
